Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest is celebrated at the end of September and beginning of October and is considered by many to be the world’s biggest folk festival. The origin comes from Munich in Germany and the first party was first organized in 1810.
From the beginning, this was a party with horse racing as the main attraction.
Over the years, the offer at Oktoberfest has changed and today the party is celebrated in large premises or beer tents and resembles a giant amusement park with various attractions and dance floors. The party is nowadays mainly associated with beer and women dressing in traditional Dirndl and the men wearing Lederhosen.
A special Oktoberfest beer is also brewed, which is served in large jugs.
