Father’s Day and Mother’s Day have American origins. And Fathers Day is of course a beloved holiday to honor all fathers.
The origin of Father’s Day was Sonora Smart Dodd in Spokane who wanted to honor her father, a veteran of the American Civil War, who had raised seven children alone. Today this holiday is celebrated in most countries, but on different dates.
